| 2007-06-15 | Alabama Thunderpussy Announce Tour With W.A.S.P | Alabama Thunderpussy has announced their first full North American tour in support of their new album Open Fire will be with legendary metal band W.A.S.P.
Alabama Thunderpussy will join Blackie Lawless and Co. on July 17 in Austin, TX for what will be four weeks of pure metal onslaught. Following, ATP will perform a hometown show with fellow Richmond-ers Lamb Of God along with Hatebreed and 3 Inches Of Blood. A listing of Alabama Thunderpussy tour dates can be found in the tour section of Relapse.com with more to be announced shortly.
Open Fire was released internationally this past March and is the first Alabama Thunderpussy record to feature new vocalist Kyle Thomas (ex- Exhorder/ Floodgate). ATP drummer Bryan Cox introduces the song: “The name of this song is “Words Of The Dying Man” and it’s the first thing that we want you to check out from our new record, Open Fire. I can’t express in mere words how happy I am with the way the record turned out. We're a stronger, more cohesive group than we've ever been before. Kyle Thomas, our new singer, did nothing less than knock our socks off on every track and he’s truly the singer that we have been wanting for for a looong time. There will be more updates coming in the near future but for now, it’s “Words Of The Dying Man.” Thanks for tuning in; we hope that you dig it!”
Open Fire was recorded at The Etching Tin Studios in Richmond, VA with engineer Ian Whalen and will be the first Alabama Thunderpussy record to feature new vocalist Thomas (ex- Exhorder/ Floodgate). Open Fire is expected to see a March 2007 release.

| 2006-12-06 | Minsk Completes Work on Relapse Debut; Unveils Artwork, Track-Listing | Minsk has completed work on their Relapse debut full-length entitled The Ritual Fires of Abandonment.
The Chicago / Peoria, IL quartet (bassist / vocalist Sanford Parker, drummer Anthony Couri, guitarist / vocalist Chris Bennett and vocalist / synth player Tim Mead) recorded The Ritual Fires of Abandonment at Parker's Volume Recording studio (Pelican, UNEARTHLY TRANCE) in Chicago. The finished track listing for the hour long effort is as follows: “Embers”, “White Wings”, “Mescaline Sunrise”, “The Orphans of Piety”, “Circle of Ashes”, and “Ceremony Ek Stasis”.
