Truth About Lies

If only one thing defines our youth
It's all the lies we're told about the truth
We're forced into place against our will
Burdened with the roles we are to fulfil

Forget about who you might have been
Reality is the murderer of childhood dreams

We live, we die
We sleep inbetween
And nothing we're told
Is quite what it seems?

I sometimes wonder what I'm doing here
As I look at the blank expressions all around
You try swimming through this apathy
You just get swept away by the indifference
The illusions of man are paper thin
They'll suck you up and drag you in

close window
